What We Believe

One God

We serve the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, and call Him by the name He gave our fathers to call Him by (Exodus 3:15). We do not use Yahweh, Yah, Yahuwah, Yahawashi, Elohim or El.

One book

The Authorized King James Version of 1611 is our official book of learning and teaching, without exception. The Holy Bible was written by Israelites, about Israelites, for Israelites, and represents our own history and culture. We do not hold Rabbinic tradition as an authority over it.

The Law stands

Until heaven and earth are taken away, not one jot or one tittle of the Law shall be invalid, until everything is fulfilled. The laws, statutes and commandments are kept, not admired.

Identity

The Israelites were chosen and named by their Father. A Jacobite is born of the covenant line; an Israelite is proved by the life. The door stands open to the stranger of any nation who joins himself to the LORD and takes hold of the covenant.

The appointed times

We keep the Sabbath, the new moons, the feasts and the ordinances by the calendar of the God of Israel. We do not keep the invented holidays of the nations.

The covenant and the baptism

We hold the covenant of circumcision and the waters of baptism, and consecration to the Most High God of Israel.

Our brother Jesus

We acknowledge the priceless contribution of our brother Jesus, the son of David, a descendant of the tribe of Judah, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham. We honour his personal discipline and sacrifice each year on the Day of Atonement.

The 400 years

We hold that the prophecy of Deuteronomy 28 was fulfilled in the transatlantic slave trade, and that the arrival at Point Comfort in August 1619 began the four hundred years spoken of in Deuteronomy 28:68.

Clean and unclean

We observe the Levitical law concerning what may be eaten, understanding the link between what enters the body and what forms the spirit.
