Passover
The memorial of the night the destroyer passed over the houses marked with blood, and a nation purchased its liberty.
A lamb without blemish was slain and its blood applied to the doorpost. Israel ate in haste, with loins girded and staff in hand, already moving. In the morning they went out of Egypt.
Passover is a memorial, kept by an ordinance for ever (Exodus 12:14). It is not a symbol of something else; it is the remembrance of a deliverance that happened.
How it is kept
Passover is kept by baptised brethren. Those on the path of truth may be invited to break bread with the Israelite family at Passover once the supreme council is satisfied as to the sincerity of their intention; men and the parents of male children must be circumcised to attend (Exodus 12:47–49). Baptism follows the Feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread.
